Bitcoin as US Reserve? Coinbase Chief Pushes Radical Crypto Strategy
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong advocated for a Bitcoin-only US reserve, citing its simplicity and status as “successor to gold,” in response to President Trump’s proposed crypto strategic reserve.
He suggested a market-cap-weighted crypto index as an alternative for diversification, but ultimately favored Bitcoin. This proposal follows confirmation from White House Crypto Czar David Sacks that the reserve would include Bitcoin and other top cryptocurrencies, like Ether, XRP, Solana, and Cardano.
