Binance’s Opbnb Lays Out Ambitious Plans for Blockchain Accessibility

The BNB Chain development team revealed a comprehensive six-month roadmap on Nov. 29, outlining ambitious targets for Opbnb, its layer two (L2) solution.
The team aims to achieve 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) and reduce fees to $0.001 on Opbnb. The roadmap emphasizes enhancing blockchain accessibility and efficiency for users and developers. Recent success includes Opbnb reaching a record-breaking 5.47 million transactions, showcasing its capability to smoothly handle the full capacity of 100M gas per second in a single block, processing 645 minting transactions per second.
The BNB Chain core development team acknowledged the Opbnb community’s pivotal role, recognizing its potential contributions to decentralized applications. Opbnb also plans to reduce transaction fees, increase capacity, and offer opportunities for community members through programs like the Most Valuable Builder (MVB) in collaboration with Binance Labs and CMC Labs.
