80% of Asian Users Use 2FA, Yet Broader Crypto Security Remains Weak: Binance Report

A new Binance report reveals that 80% of Asian crypto users have enabled two-factor authentication (2FA), signaling improved awareness of basic security practices.
However, adoption of advanced protections like anti-phishing codes (21.5%) and address whitelisting (17.6%) remains low. Many users still store private keys on internet-connected devices, especially in Southeast Asia. Despite these risks, 84% trust exchange-level safeguards such as Binance’s SAFU.
The report highlights a growing expectation for exchanges to act as security partners, with users calling for real-time threat detection, biometric login, and better education tools to strengthen crypto safety.
