XRP Surges 8.7% as Peter Brandt’s Chart Points to Long-Term $5.40 Target

XRP jumped 8.7% to around $1.54, trading as high as $1.57, after veteran trader Peter Brandt shared a long-term technical chart suggesting the cryptocurrency could eventually reach $5.40.
From $1.54, XRP would need to gain roughly 251% to hit that target. Brandt emphasized that the chart represents a long-term projection rather than evidence of an actual trade. The rally coincided with several developments around Ripple and the XRP Ledger. South African banking group Absa launched a digital asset custody service using Ripple technology, while 21Shares highlighted regulatory clarity, institutional access, utility and fixed supply as key components of XRP’s investment case. XRPL also now hosts about $4 billion in tokenized assets and $1.6 billion in RLUSD supply. While Brandt’s $5.40 target remains a technical forecast rather than a guarantee, the combination of rising prices and expanding institutional infrastructure has strengthened bullish attention around XRP.
