XRP Millionaire Wallets Rise as Whales Accumulate Despite 29% Market Decline

The number of XRP wallets holding at least 1 million tokens has increased by 32 over the past three months. Even as XRP’s total market capitalization fell 29% during the same period, according to data from Santiment.
XRP is trading near $1.02, roughly 69% below its 2025 peak of $3.66, while institutional demand has also weakened, with weekly XRP ETF inflows falling 93% to about $1.01 million. Despite the bearish price action, large holders continue accumulating: wallets containing 10 million to 100 million XRP have added roughly 1.23 billion tokens since the beginning of 2026, including more than 380 million XRP in the week through Aug. 11. Around 81% of Binance XRP outflows during that period were reportedly linked to large holders moving assets into self-custody. Behavior often associated with longer-term holding rather than immediate selling. The divergence between falling prices and growing whale positions suggests that major holders may be treating XRP’s weakness as an accumulation opportunity. Although analysts have stopped short of declaring a definitive market bottom as traders closely watch the psychologically important $1 support level.
