Tokenized Gold Could Become Collateral for Solana Staking Under New Korea Partnership

Flowra and Korea Gold Exchange Digital Asset (KorDA) have signed a 12-month agreement to explore using KGLD. A gold-backed digital asset, as collateral to secure Solana (SOL) for validator staking.
Under the proposed model, secured SOL would be delegated to validators operating on Flowra’s infrastructure, connecting tokenized real-world assets directly with blockchain network operations. The companies also plan to develop the Flowra-KorDA Delegation Program (FKDP), sourcing SOL from institutional investors, lending providers and the Solana Foundation. The initiative comes as the tokenized gold market has grown beyond $6 billion, reflecting rising demand for onchain real-world assets. Before launching, Flowra and KorDA will assess regulatory and legal requirements. With collateral expected to remain segregated through independent custodians, escrow accounts or multisignature wallets. The project could demonstrate how tokenized gold can evolve from a passive store of value into productive collateral within blockchain infrastructure.
