Tether Adds $70.5M in Bitcoin as Reserves Approach 97,000 BTC

Tether has added 951 Bitcoin worth approximately $70.5 million to its reserves, bringing its total holdings to around 97,141 BTC.
The move is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to allocate a portion of its profits into Bitcoin, reinforcing its position as one of the largest corporate holders of the asset globally. The latest transfer reflects a continued commitment to accumulating BTC as a long-term reserve asset.
The accumulation strategy is tied to Tether’s policy of allocating up to 15% of its quarterly net profits toward Bitcoin purchases, creating a consistent source of institutional demand. With total holdings valued at over $7 billion, the reserve acts as a hedge alongside traditional assets like U.S. Treasuries, highlighting a broader trend of integrating Bitcoin into corporate balance sheets as a store of value.
