Tanzania’s Ministry of Tourism and Natural Resources has mandated that all tourism-related fees. Including business licenses, filming permits, and visiting fees, be paid in local currency.
This aligns with the government’s directive for using the Tanzanian shilling in local transactions. This move aims to stabilize the Tanzanian shilling and encourage tourists to exchange foreign currency for local shillings, supporting the country’s economy.
