Standard Chartered Predicts Bitcoin’s Massive Price Target Fueled by Potential ETF Inflows
Standard Chartered, a major banking institution, envisions a potential surge for Bitcoin (BTC). Projecting a remarkable $200,000 value by the close of 2025.
In their latest research note, analysts at Standard Chartered anticipate a substantial influx of $50-100 billion into spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the U.S. throughout the current year. This influx is anticipated to unlock significant growth opportunities for Bitcoin, outpacing the trajectory witnessed by gold after the introduction of its first ETF. The analysts express confidence in Bitcoin hitting $100,000 by the conclusion of 2024, citing the maturation of the BTC ETF market at a faster pace compared to gold. Despite the current BTC price at $46,056, the outlook remains optimistic.
Notably, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) greenlit the launch of Bitcoin futures ETFs in October 2021, with expectations high for potential approval of spot BTC ETFs in the near future. Major financial entities, including BlackRock, anticipate SEC approval for their BTC ETF applications, with speculations suggesting an imminent decision.
