Soluna Expands Wind-Powered Crypto Infrastructure as Blockware Capacity Surpasses 17 MW

Soluna Holdings is scaling its renewable-powered crypto and AI infrastructure through a fourth expansion of its partnership with Blockware. Adding 3.3 MW at its West Texas site.
The latest deployment brings Blockware’s total hosted capacity across Soluna facilities to more than 17 MW, marking a significant milestone in their ongoing collaboration. The expansion also makes Blockware the first customer at Project Dorothy 1B. A 25 MW data center directly powered by the Briscoe Wind Farm. Highlighting a growing shift toward energy-integrated digital infrastructure.
The project reflects Soluna’s “behind-the-meter” model, where excess renewable energy is converted directly into computing power for bitcoin mining and AI workloads, reducing reliance on traditional power grids. Following its $53 million acquisition of the Briscoe Wind Farm, Soluna now controls both energy generation and data center operations, enabling full vertical integration. As demand for sustainable computing rises, the partnership signals a broader industry trend toward leveraging low-cost renewable energy to scale high-performance digital infrastructure.
