Solana Saga smartphone holders are reaping substantial rewards, with the latest being an NFT from the Saga Monkes project, inspired by Bitcoin Ordinals’ Node Monkeys.
Launched on January 6, Saga Monkes conducted an exclusive airdrop for Solana Saga Genesis NFT holders minted during initial phone setup. The 8,505 free Saga Monkes NFTs generated high demand, hitting secondary marketplaces at a starting price of $1,250 worth of SOL, surpassing the phone’s initial cost of $599. As of the latest data, Saga Monkes NFTs have an average sale price of $1,069, making it the top-selling NFT project across networks with a 368% day-over-day increase.
While prices have slightly cooled, the floor price remains at 7.58 SOL, offering significant value to smartphone owners. This NFT windfall adds to the perks, including BONK meme coin airdrops and other NFTs, provided to the 20,000 initial Saga smartphone owners. Future plans for the Saga smartphone from Solana Labs remain unconfirmed, but the company has hinted at additional developments post the December sellout.
