Solana Mobile’s Latest Device Promises Affordability and Innovation

Solana Mobile, a subsidiary of Solana Labs, has unveiled its latest device, Chapter 2, following the success of its previous phone, Saga.

While Solana Mobile has not yet disclosed the technical specifications for Chapter 2, the company positions it as a more affordable option than its predecessor, Saga, which initially had a price of $1,000. Chapter 2 aims to capitalize on the popularity generated by Saga, particularly its non-transferable token that facilitated airdrops and projects within the Solana ecosystem.

While Chapter 2 won’t feature the same non-transferable NFT, Solana Mobile expressed enthusiasm for engaging users through innovative mechanisms. The phone is available for preorders at a discounted rate of $450, with early adopters expected to pay the full price. Solana Mobile has already seen a strong response, surpassing their initial expectations for the first day of orders. The company plans to launch Chapter 2 in the first half of 2025, with a sales target of at least 100,000 devices.
