Singapore’s Crypto Economy Hits $284 Billion as Institutional Activity Surges 94%

Singapore’s crypto economy reached $284 billion in activity during the year ended June 2026, rising 55.4% year over year. And making it the largest measured crypto economy in Central and Southeast Asia and Oceania, according to Chainalysis.
Institutional-platform activity was the biggest growth driver, jumping 94% to $60 billion, largely through market makers, OTC firms and institutional brokerages. The expansion stands out as the broader regional crypto economy contracted 6.8% over the same period. Centralized-exchange activity in Singapore grew about 30%. While decentralized-exchange flows increased 69%. The figures suggest Singapore’s crypto market is increasingly being shaped by institutional adoption, regulated digital-asset infrastructure and cross-border stablecoin activity, rather than primarily retail speculation.
