Santiment Data Unveils Soaring Whale Engagement, Igniting a Boom in Ethereum DeFi Coin

Amid a surge in whale activity and new addresses, an Ethereum-based decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol has witnessed a significant price explosion, with the native asset YFI of Yearn.

Finance trading at $10,242. Santiment’s crypto analytics reveals a notable increase in YFI transactions valued at over $100,000, reaching levels not seen since July 2022. The protocol’s new address growth is experiencing exponential growth. Despite these recent gains, YFI remains approximately 89% below its all-time high of $90,786 in May 2021. Additionally, Santiment reports a resurgence in Ethereum fees, reaching their highest levels in four months. 

While the overall crypto market has exhibited a slight flattening, Santiment notes a prevailing bullish bias among digital asset traders, suggesting potential market fluctuations. The 129th-ranked crypto asset by market cap has surged over 71% in the past seven days.
