Saga smartphone owners, among the 20,000 devices produced to date, have experienced a surge in token airdrops and incentives in recent weeks.

The latest addition to these perks is Samoyedcoin (SAMO), a well-known Solana meme coin. Following its announcement of an impending airdrop for Saga owners, the claim process opened on Tuesday, causing a notable spike in SAMO’s price from $0.0135 to $0.0175. Although it has retraced slightly to just below $0.016, the token still shows a 24% increase in the last 24 hours. Saga owners can reportedly claim 1,250 SAMO, valued at nearly $20 at the current price.

This initiative follows a trend of airdrops from other tokens like BONK and Access Protocol, contributing to the heightened demand for the Solana Saga smartphone. Solana Labs, the startup behind the Solana blockchain network, hints at potential future plans for the Saga phone, while Samoyedcoin’s team introduces Saga Tools, a platform enabling Solana developers to deploy exclusive airdrops and benefits for Saga phone owners.
