Riot and Bitfarms Settle Dispute Before Crucial Shareholder Meeting

Riot Platforms and Bitfarms have settled their dispute ahead of Bitfarms’ special shareholder meeting on Nov. 6, 2024. As part of the agreement, Riot withdrew its bid to restructure Bitfarms’ board, leading to the appointment of Amy Freedman to key board committees.

Freedman replaces Andrés Finkielsztain, who resigned as part of the settlement. Riot, Bitfarms’ largest shareholder, will now support resolutions at the upcoming meeting, including expanding the board from five to six members. Both companies called the agreement a constructive move for shareholders.
