Proof-of-Concept Success: J.P. Morgan’s Onyx and Apollo Global Redefine Wealth Management on Avalanche

Onyx by J.P. Morgan and Apollo Global, in collaboration with the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Project Guardian, have introduced a proof-of-concept on the Avalanche blockchain.

This initiative aims to revolutionize asset and wealth management by leveraging blockchain, smart contracts, and tokenization, particularly targeting challenging-to-trade alternative assets. The use of Avalanche’s LayerZero protocol facilitates the connection between Onyx Digital Assets and an Avalanche Evergreen subnet, designed to meet institutional needs with a focus on network privacy, gas features, and permissioning.

This infrastructure enables Onyx Digital Asset portfolios to access tokenized funds from WisdomTree, a $94 billion asset manager. The successful project aligns with Ava Labs’ mission to digitize and tokenize global assets using Avalanche’s speed, scalability, and customizability. Project Guardian, launched in May 2022, explores asset tokenization use cases, showcasing the potential for significant transformation in the asset and wealth management industry.
