Production-Ready: Plonky3, Polygon’s Advanced Zero-Knowledge Proving System
Polygon Labs has announced that its next-generation zero-knowledge (ZK) proving system, Polygon Plonky3, is now production-ready.
This open-source system, licensed under MIT/Apache, allows developers to create customized proving systems for ZKVM or ZK EVM chains tailored to specific use cases. Unlike its predecessor, Plonky2, which focused on hardware optimization and recursion, Plonky3 offers greater flexibility and fewer fixed properties.
Extensively audited for soundness, Plonky3 is set to drive further innovation in the field. Polygon Labs remains dedicated to advancing open-source, ZK-powered technology to achieve verifiable offchain computation.
