Palantir Sues Former Engineers, Alleges Theft of Secrets for “Copycat” AI Startup

Palantir Technologies has filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court against two ex-senior engineers. Accusing them of misusing company trade secrets and confidential data to build a competing company.
The complaint alleges that the engineers, who had access to critical source code, customer workflows and internal strategy, violated non-compete and confidentiality agreements when they moved on to a new venture backed by a major venture capital firm.
The case underscores the intense competitive pressures in the AI sector, where large organizations guard technology and talent fiercely. Palantir is seeking injunctions, the return of its materials and enforcement of the employment contracts.
