Nordic Bank Nordea to Offer Bitcoin-Linked Synthetic ETP for Clients

Nordea, one of the largest banks in the Nordic region, has announced that beginning December 2025 it will allow its customers to trade a synthetic exchange-traded product (ETP) tied to Bitcoin.

The product is designed for experienced investors seeking regulated exposure to Bitcoin’s price movements, without holding the token directly. The decision signals a major shift in the bank’s approach to digital assets. Driven by the maturation of Europe’s regulatory framework and growing client demand.

Nordea, which had previously taken a cautious stance toward cryptocurrencies. Said the move reflects the sector’s enhanced clarity and the opportunity for clients to diversify into digital-asset investments under familiar structures.
