Pavel Durov, CEO of Telegram, discussed the impact of Hamster Kombat, a tap-to-earn game where players simulate hamster CEOs of a crypto exchange, which has garnered 239 million users within three months of its launch. 

Leveraging Telegram’s mini-app protocol introduced in 2020, the game gained momentum recently with projects like Notcoin. Durov highlighted its rapid growth, attracting 100 million users in just 73 days, with millions joining daily, positioning it as the fastest-growing digital service globally. He emphasized Hamster Kombat’s role in introducing blockchain benefits to its vast user base, announcing plans to mint its token on TON soon. 

Despite its popularity, the game has sparked controversy in Iran, where authorities view it as a Western influence amid upcoming presidential elections. Pre-market trading for the game’s token is underway, awaiting details on the airdrop schedule.
