Messari Takes Stand Against SEC, Labels Chair Gensler as Incompetent and Corrupt

Messari, a U.S.-based crypto intelligence platform, has declared independence from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Citing CEO Ryan Selkis’s criticism of SEC Chair Gary Gensler as incompetent and corrupt.

Selkis announced on social media platform X that Messari will actively oppose the SEC, describing it as illegitimate and self-serving. The company plans to challenge the SEC’s authority through legal, congressional, and media channels, arguing that advancements in technology have rendered traditional regulatory roles obsolete.

Messari intends to focus on enhancing transparency through investigative journalism and promoting private market solutions for financial innovation, while distancing itself from the SEC’s regulatory oversight until reforms are made.
