Mainnet Launch: Sui Bridge Connects Ethereum and Sui

The Sui Foundation has launched the Sui Bridge on mainnet, facilitating secure asset transfers between the Ethereum and Sui networks, starting with ether (ETH) and wrapped ether (WETH).

This bridge enhances interoperability within the Web3 ecosystem by connecting decentralized finance (DeFi) applications on both chains, allowing for smoother transactions. Unlike third-party solutions, the Sui Bridge utilizes the network’s validators for security, ensuring robust protection for transactions.

The user-friendly interface enables participants to link their Ethereum and Sui wallets, select tokens for transfer, and initiate the bridging process. The foundation plans to expand the bridge’s functionality and asset support in future updates, transitioning liquidity from WETH-USDC pools to ETH-USDC pools.
