Kraken Donates $2M to Pro-Trump Crypto PAC, Backs Privacy Rights

Kraken announced it will donate $2 million to a pro-Trump political action effort focused on crypto.

The exchange’s co-CEO Arjun Sethi committed $1 million to the Digital Freedom Fund PAC and increased Kraken’s support for America First Digital by another million.Sethi framed the donations as part of a broader fight to defend core principles like self-custody, permissionless infrastructure, and protection from surveillance-based finance. He cautioned that crypto infrastructure, privacy tools, and core principles face regulatory threats via uncertainty, enforcement actions, and potential bans.
