Immutable (IMX) Leads Altcoin Rally With 17% Jump, Gains 50% in a Week
Immutable’s gaming token IMX surged nearly 17% on Thursday and is now up 50% over the past week, according to CoinGecko.
The gains followed the Fed’s rate cut and growing optimism around Web3 gaming partnerships, token rewards, and favorable regulatory moves. Immutable’s momentum comes after a rocky start to 2025, when the token slipped out of the top 100. Recent developments, however, have helped revive sentiment: Ubisoft launched its partnership with Immutable in August, enabling mainstream gaming studios to offer crypto rewards, while NetMarble signed on earlier this year. Immutable also began distributing 2.9 million IMX tokens weekly—triple the figure it offered in May.
Other tailwinds include the SEC closing its investigation into Immutable with no enforcement action, as well as approval of new ETF listing standards that could attract institutional inflows into altcoins. Avalanche, Pumpfun, and NEAR also posted double-digit gains this week, while analysts suggest further upside is possible as the market consolidates.
