Human Rights Foundation Supports Bitcoin Bug Bounty Program

The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) is offering a reward of 20 Bitcoins, valued at over half a million dollars, to improve Bitcoin for activists.
The bug bounty challenge aims to support open-source development on the Bitcoin protocol. With a focus on enhancing the user experience (UX) of mobile wallets. The ten bounties address various issues. Including the development of open-source design components for Bitcoin projects. Access to a Bitcoin User Interface (UI) guide, and support for Nostr, a censorship-resistant social network. Specific improvements to Bitcoin wallets, such as generating and memorizing seed phrases while crossing borders, are also incentivized.
The 20 Bitcoin reward comes from the HRF’s Bitcoin Development Fund, which aims to empower dissidents and human rights activists globally by promoting financial freedom through Bitcoin. The bounties, set to run through 2024, offer a unique opportunity for developers to contribute to Bitcoin’s evolution for the benefit of activists worldwide.
