As cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, and technology-led financial products continue to expand globally, industry figures are increasingly calling for clearer oversight and stronger international standards.
Gino Dilibero, Director of Clever Robot, believes the rapid growth of emerging sectors brings significant opportunity, but also creates an environment where weak regulation can allow bad actors to operate unchecked.
“Emerging sectors such as cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence present enormous long-term opportunities, but they also inevitably attract bad actors and poorly regulated activity,” said Dilibero.
“As a business operating within and alongside these developing industries, we believe stronger international regulation and oversight will become increasingly important over the coming years. The market needs frameworks that protect consumers, encourage legitimate innovation, and create long-term trust.”
According to Dilibero, the conversation should not only focus on digital assets and AI projects, but also on the broader evolution of financial services globally.

Clever Robot says it intends to position itself alongside recognised compliance structures and established financial frameworks as international regulation continues to evolve.
“We intend to work closely with recognised regulatory frameworks, compliance professionals, and international counterparties as these sectors continue to mature,” Dilibero added.
