French Banking Giant to Issue USD Stablecoin on Ethereum & Solana

Societe Generale-FORGE, the crypto-focused arm of Societe Generale, will launch a USD stablecoin called USD Coinvertible (USDCV) on Ethereum and Solana.

Partnering with BNY Mellon as reserve custodian, the stablecoin will offer 24/7 conversion between fiat and digital currencies. USDCV follows the 2023 launch of EUR Coinvertible and supports crypto trading, cross-border payments, and onchain settlements. SG-FORGE will ensure daily transparency of reserves and full MiCA compliance. Trading is set to begin in July, targeting institutional, corporate, and retail users with liquidity from top market makers.
