Crypto Markets at Risk: Ex-Goldman Sachs Leader Raises Alarm on Potential ‘Gigantic Bubble Cycle

Raoul Pal, a former executive at Goldman Sachs, is warning of a potential massive bubble cycle looming in crypto markets. 

In an interview with crypto influencer Scott Melker, the Real Vision CEO states that while he sees a 60% chance of a regular market cycle resembling previous patterns, there’s a significant 20% probability of a “gigantic bubble cycle.” Pal outlines scenarios where increased retail demand could front-load the cycle, leading to a shorter duration. He emphasizes that investor sentiment hints at a belief in a shorter cycle, but he cautions that prices may rise more than anticipated. 

Despite uncertainties, Pal remains vigilant, acknowledging the possibility of a cycle reminiscent of the explosive market behaviors seen between 2012-2013 and 2015 due to broader participation in the market.
