Coinbase Survey Reveals: More Than Half of Millennials and Gen Z Favor Crypto-Friendly Candidates for 2024 US Election

Coinbase, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, reveals that over 50% of Americans born between 1981 and 2012 are likely to support candidates in the upcoming US election who endorse digital assets.
Their surveys, conducted in collaboration with research firm Bovitz, Inc., indicate that a significant portion of Millennials and Gen Zers seek political representatives who advocate for cryptocurrencies, believing in their societal benefits. Coinbase emphasizes that these younger generations not only own cryptocurrencies but also study them in school, recognize their potential for job creation, and plan to advocate and vote in 2024 for candidates shaping the future.
This demographic, constituting 40% of the voting-age population today, intends to throw their support behind crypto-friendly candidates, with 51% expressing this likelihood. Additionally, 39% of Millennials and Gen Zers believe politicians should back technologies like cryptocurrency and blockchain to benefit future generations, in contrast to 28% of older Americans. These findings stem from a comprehensive survey involving 1,000 Americans from various generations and interviews with 30 adults aged 18-59 conducted in June.
