Clearpool’s DeFi Expansion: Launching on Optimism’s OP Mainnet with $202,000 in Funding
Clearpool, a DeFi credit marketplace, will soon launch on Optimism’s OP mainnet after securing 150,000 OP tokens valued at around $202,000 from the Optimism Foundation.
Clearpool enables institutional borrowers to create single-borrower liquidity pools and compete for uncollateralized liquidity from decentralized lenders. Lenders can easily use supported wallet infrastructure to provide funds to whitelisted institutions and earn rewards without locking up their cryptocurrencies. Clearpool is currently operational on Ethereum, Polygon, and Polygon zkEVM, with a Total Value Locked (TVL) of $31.32 million and a market capitalization of $7.71 million, as reported on DeFiLlama.
Additionally, Clearpool is collaborating with Idle Finance, a yield automation protocol that also received 150,000 OP in grant funding to enable Yield Tranches (YTs) on the OP mainnet. These YTs are capital pools that manage risks by generating tranche yields through various market-neutral strategies, enabling risk and yield segmentation. Matteo Pandolfi, founder of Idle, explained that this launch aims to advance the on-chain DeFi credit market while setting new standards for risk diversification. Users have the flexibility to customize their DeFi strategies to match their risk tolerance, empowering them to build a yield portfolio aligned with their financial objectives and aspirations.
