CleanSpark Secures $6.6 Billion AI Lease in Major Shift Beyond Bitcoin Mining

CleanSpark has signed a 20-year lease expected to generate $6.6 billion in contracted revenue as the Bitcoin miner expands into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure.
The agreement covers 175 megawatts of critical IT capacity at its Sandersville, Georgia, campus, with deliveries scheduled to begin in late 2027 and extension options that could raise the total contract value to $11.6 billion. The unnamed global technology tenant has also secured exclusivity over CleanSpark’s 885-megawatt Texas portfolio, signaling the potential for a much broader AI infrastructure partnership.
While CleanSpark continues holding nearly 14,000 BTC, the deal shows how Bitcoin mining companies are increasingly using their valuable land and power assets to build more stable, long-term revenue streams from growing AI and data center demand.
