Circle Unveils Quantum-Resistant Roadmap to Secure Future of Crypto and Stablecoins
Circle has introduced a quantum-resistant roadmap for its Arc blockchain. Aiming to protect digital assets like USDC from future threats posed by quantum computing.
The plan includes post-quantum signature support at launch, allowing users and institutions to create quantum-secure wallets without disrupting existing systems. The roadmap follows a phased approach. Expanding protection across wallets, private data, validators, and infrastructure.
Addressing risks such as “harvest now, decrypt later” attacks where encrypted data could be broken in the future. With experts warning that quantum computers could threaten current cryptography by around 2030, Circle is positioning itself at the forefront of building long-term, secure blockchain infrastructure.
