Bitcoin Hashrate Hits Record 1,027 EH/s, Miner Earnings Slide

Bitcoin’s network power hit a lifetime high of 1,027 exahash per second on Sept. 10, bouncing back from a dip earlier in the week.
Block times are averaging 9 minutes 17 seconds, with the next difficulty adjustment expected around Sept. 18, potentially rising 7.67%. Foundry USA leads mining pools with 287 EH/s, followed by Antpool, F2pool, and ViaBTC. Together, the top five pools control about 74% of the global hashrate.
Despite the record hashrate, miner revenues have dropped. Hashprice is down 8.39% from last month, with 1 PH/s now earning $53.10 daily versus $57.96 in August. The milestone underscores Bitcoin’s growing security, but also the profitability squeeze miners face as competition and efficiency rise.
