Binance Launches Lite Loan With 30-Day Liquidation Protection for Bitcoin Holders

Binance has introduced Lite Loan, a simplified Bitcoin-backed lending product that allows eligible users to borrow up to 1,000 USDT. Without selling their BTC while eliminating price-triggered liquidation during the initial 30-day loan term.

Designed for users with short-term liquidity needs, the product charges a one-time upfront service fee. Currently discounted to 0.5% until September 3—with no additional interest during the first 30 days. Borrowers can also continue earning yield on pledged Bitcoin held in Simple Earn Flexible products while using it as collateral. If the loan is not repaid after the initial term, standard loan-to-value (LTV) monitoring resumes, with margin calls beginning at 85% LTV, liquidation at 91% LTV, and an overdue penalty interest rate of 36% annually. The launch reflects Binance’s effort to make crypto-backed borrowing more accessible by reducing one of the biggest barriers for retail users. The risk of sudden liquidation during periods of market volatility.
