Bill Ackman Reduces Positions in Google and Uber While Holding a Strong-Performing Meme Stock

Billionaire investor Bill Ackman has trimmed his fund’s positions in major companies including Alphabet and Uber, selling a portion of his shares during the third quarter as part of a broader portfolio adjustment.

Pershing Square also reduced holdings in other large-cap names such as Restaurant Brands International and Brookfield. Despite these reductions, Ackman is maintaining a significant position in Hertz Global Holdings—a stock that has surged roughly 30% year-to-date. The decision signals continued confidence in the company despite its volatility and “meme stock” reputation.
