Arthur Hayes Says Fed Rate Cuts Amid Iran Conflict Could Signal Bitcoin Buying Opportunity

BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes suggests that geopolitical tensions, including the escalating Iran conflict, could create favorable conditions for Bitcoin investors.

Hayes argues that major conflicts often pressure the U.S. Federal Reserve to cut interest rates and inject liquidity into the financial system, which historically benefits risk assets such as cryptocurrencies. According to his view, increased liquidity and monetary easing can strengthen Bitcoin’s long-term outlook.

Hayes believes that if the Fed shifts toward rate cuts and monetary stimulus, Bitcoin could experience renewed demand as investors seek alternatives to traditional assets. While short-term volatility may persist due to geopolitical uncertainty, he suggests that macroeconomic responses—particularly easier financial conditions—could create strategic opportunities for long-term BTC accumulation.
