Analyst Says Strategy’s Bitcoin Sale Is Not a Bearish Signal Despite Growing Market Fear
Market concerns have increased after Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy. Disclosed the sale of 32 BTC worth around $2.5 million, marking its first Bitcoin sale since 2022.
However, analysts and on-chain data firms argue that the transaction does not signal a major bearish shift for Bitcoin. According to CryptoQuant, exchange inflows remain low and there is no evidence of widespread investor selling, suggesting the sale has not triggered panic across the market. While key profitability indicators like MVRV and NUPL have started weakening. Analysts believe the transaction is too small compared to Strategy’s massive Bitcoin holdings of more than 843,000 BTC to impact its long-term accumulation strategy.
Instead, the sale is being viewed as a liquidity management move tied to preferred stock obligations. While broader market fear continues to be driven by weakening sentiment and uncertainty around Bitcoin’s next major support levels.
