$95 Million in Bitcoin Transferred by German Police to Bitstamp, Coinbase, and Kraken
The German government has transferred an additional 1,500 bitcoin, valued at nearly $95 million, to cryptocurrency exchanges Bitstamp, Coinbase, and Kraken.
This move, following a series of transactions since June 19, suggests a potential liquidation of some of the bitcoin holdings seized in a 2013 operation. Arkham Intelligence identified the transaction address as belonging to Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA).
Despite these transfers, the majority of the seized funds, approximately 44,692 bitcoin worth around $2.82 billion, remains under government control.
