0x Revolutionizes DeFi With Tx Relay API: Gas-Free Crypto Swaps Now A Reality

0x, a leading developer of web3 infrastructure, has unveiled its latest trading API, Tx Relay, aimed at addressing the common issue of failed transactions in decentralized finance (DeFi) on Ethereum due to insufficient ETH for gas fees.
Tx Relay enables “gasless” swaps, allowing users to exchange cryptocurrencies without spending ETH on gas fees. Typically, 8-10% of decentralized exchange (DEX) transactions fail, rising to 20% during network congestion. The API simplifies the process by covering all gas costs within the transaction itself, reducing the likelihood of failed transactions.
Currently available on Ethereum and Polygon, the team plans to launch on Arbitrum in Q1 2024. Coinbase Wallet Product Manager Claudia Haddad sees this as a significant improvement in user experience, addressing a long-standing pain point of network fees. The gasless swaps also benefit from MEV protection, offering security against bots and advanced tools. The new API aims to enhance overall user experience and make on-chain transactions more user-friendly, particularly for newcomers to the crypto space.
